For God so loved the world, boy He loves the world, that He gave, He’s always gives when He loves. Say a good “Amen”. You see, but we see the world, we see it from the small perspective. About the best we can see it is from an airliner as we fly over a city and look down and you get a perspective of maybe most of the city when I look down on Phoenix. But God sees the world from above even a satellite. He sees the entire planet. He loves everyone. He loves Russian, Asians, Americans, Africans. He loves everyone, red, yellow, black, and white; they are precious to His sight. Because for God so loved the world. He sees the world. And how’d He demonstrate it? He demonstrated it by giving. You see, it’s been written; a song is not a song until you sing it. It’s been said that love is not really love until you give your love away. It’s not tangible until you give it away. The other day I was riding to the airport in Los Angeles with Marcos. Marcos is from Ecuador. Marcos is the Spanish Pastor of the Los Angeles Church; a young man, an outstanding young man. I said Marcos tell me how you found the Lord. Marcos said I was in Ecuador, I turned on the television one day and there was Brother Jimmy Swagurt preaching. He used the scripture “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son.” God loves you so much, He died, He sent His son to die. Won’t you come? And then he said, I realized the love of God through this man, and I gave my heart to Jesus. He said, I was reading the Bible one day and I came across that scripture “Can a man rob God?” And I said, I’ve been a thief all these years.” And I said, Marcos has loved God, has given his heart to God, has been filled, but he’s been a thief because he hasn’t tithed. I thought, what is he talking about? I finally realized it was tithing was he was talking about. And he said, I don’t want to rob God anymore. And I started giving to God. And it dawned on me my dear friends; just listen to me for a minute. It dawned on me that if we love God we will keep His commandments. And if we love Him we’ll do what He did; He gave. And there’s nothing closer to the heart of God than when we pay our tithe. You see we are not giving our tithe, we are commanded of God to give our tithe. He said that ten percent belongs to Him. When we give beyond our tithe, we are giving an offering of love that expresses our heart to God.
